Dress: ZARA • Shoes: ALDO • Handbag: Saint Laurent

Ever since the Midi Dress came back into fashion a couple of years ago, it has become such a great option for formal events. It’s chic, sophisticated and trust me, it can also be versatile depending on your style.

In case you’re wondering, ‘midi’ is a term used to define any dress or skirt length that hits halfway between the knee and ankle. However, that’s not always the case considering that the length can vary from person to person. This could be a deal breaker to some people, but as long as you choose the right pattern and the right pair of shoes you can easily pull it off.

As you can see in the pictures above, mine goes a little below mid-calf since I am a short (I know, the struggle continues). To be honest with you, I really like it a little longer like that. It looks more elegant plus makes me look taller which is a win win lol.

This gorgeous midi dress from ZARA was the perfect choice for a fall wedding. It’s chic and the elastic on the waist draws such a beautiful silhouette. The see-through fabric is balanced out by a stunning velvet texture and a delicate coral and burgundy floral pattern. In addition, the round neck line and long sleeves bring a sophisticated vintage look to the dress, which I am absolutely obsessed with.

The black pumps are from ALDO, and they have been one of my favorite lately. As I mentioned in one of my older posts they are actually pretty comfortable. I know! I thought I was going to lose a toe or two after wearing them too lol, but they looked too good not to give it a shot and I am glad I did. They run a little big so I am wearing a 5 instead of 5.5/6.

The Saint Laurent handbag is my baby. It’s one of the high end designer pieces that are so worth the splurge. It’s timeless, chic and I literally wear it with everything.

I hope you’re having a great week. Mike and I finished Season 2 of Stranger Things last night and boy things got intense. I know, this is such a random subject to add to a fashion post, but I can’t help it. I am not a big fan of suspense or horror movies/shows. I can’t handle it! I seriously have nightmares after watching stuff like this lol. I make an exception for Stranger Things though. The story is so intriguing and those kids, my goodness, they’re amazing! The entire show itself makes the ‘not so good night of sleep’ so worth it. I can’t wait for season 3.

Thanks for visiting. I hope you enjoyed the post and found the tips useful. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or leave your comments below.

Have a good rest of the week. We’ll talk soon.

Thanks so much Rececca! I am glad you like the dress and the way I accessorised. When the dress itself is a statement factor in the outfit, it’s best to keep the accessories simple and easy 🙂

Love that dress; it’s so elegant! I didn’t know that it was called a Midi – learned something new. I’ve never watched Stranger Things, but so many people really seem to love it.

Thanks so much Susan 🙂 About Stranger Things, I know what you mean! People always talk about how great Game of Thrones is and I have never seen it either. Some people seriously get offended by it lol: “what do you mean you’ve never seen Game of Thrones???” I like Stranger Things because the story is so different.. I live the whole 80’s vibe going on

I love the dress! I’m also short (5′ 2″), so I understand the struggle! 😉 This would have been ideal to wear to my nephew’s wedding last month. The one I did wear was nice, too, though – black velour with gold leaves and roses. Your accessories are perfect and complete the overall look.
